Ingredients
250gm yellow pumpkin.
½ cup gram flour(beasn).
50gm paneer.
3-4 green chili.
½ cup tomato puree.
1 tsp cumin seeds.
1 tsp coriander powder.
1 tsp turmeric powder.
1 tsp red chili powder.
½ tsp carom seeds.
1 tsp garam masala powder.
Oil for frying and for gravy.
Required salt.
A pinch of Asafoetida(hing).
How to Make Pumpkin Kofta Curry
1.Wash and peel the pumpkin with the help of a knife and grate it in a bowl by using grater
2.Add grated paneer, gram flour, 1 finely chopped green chili, half of the all above Indian spices and ½ tsp salt, Mix well.
3.Heat oil in a pan for deep fry the koftas. When heated, place koftas in it.
4.Fry koftas until they become slightly brown from all the sides.
5.Once koftas gets fried Transfer them on a bow.
6.Now heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan for making gravy. When oil gets heated, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, finely chooped onion and 2-3 sliced green chili. Saute for 1-2 minutes.
7.Now add tomato puree, Saute on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
8.When oil starts separating from its edges then add remaining half of the Indian spices. Mix well and sauté for few seconds.
9.Add 2 cups of water and cover the pan, Cook for 2-3 minutes.
10.After that add fried koftas into it and mix it gently. Cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame.
11. Curry is now ready, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot and lip-smacking Pumpkin Kofta Curry with chapati or naan or rice.
