Bhindi is one of my favorite vegetable. I love preparing this very simple. It goes well with both rice and roti. Today let us see how to prepare Bhindi Tomato following this easy recipe.
Ingredients
250 gms bhindi(Ladies Finger/okra).
4 medium size chopped tomatoes.
5-6 cashew nuts(optional).
1 chopped green chilli.
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste.
1 medium sized chopped onions(pyaj).
2 tsp coriander powder.
½ tsp chilli powder.
¼ tsp turmeric powder(haldi).
1 tsp garam masala powder.
coriander leaves.
¼ tsp black pepper powder.
Required salt.
2 tbsp oil.
How to cook Bhindi Tomato Recipe
1.Wash and wipe bhindi it with kitchen towel and chopped it.
2.heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When it crackled then add bhindi and salt , sauté it over medium flame until it cooked.
3.When bhindi completely cooked then keep it in a plate.
4.Make a tomato puree,and crush green chilli,crush ginger-garlic ,crush peanuts and cashew nuts and keep aside.
5.Now take 1 tbsp oil in pan and heat them.add cumin seeds when it crackle then add asafoetida ,chopped onion, saute till it golden brown.
6.After that add green chilli paste,ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
7.After that add chilli powder,turmeric powder,cashew-peanuts paste,black pepper powder,coriander powder,salt(if required) and garam masala powder and cooked for a minute.
8.After that add tomato puree and cooked for 3-4 minutes.
9.After that add cooked bhindi and cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.
10.Now garnish with coriander leaves and serve the delicious hot Bhindi Tomato with chapati or rice.
